TPP (ObamaTrade) Is DISASTROUS To Americans!
Before I get into why TPP (ObamaTrade) is disastrous, the first thing you need to realize is after Obama Presidency comes to an end his next position, he hopes, will be with the United Nations as Secretary General. Or check this out, Obama wants to be President Of The World. Keep in mind what Obama is after once he leaves his role as President of the USA as you read this.
Let me outline why ObamaTrade (TPP – TransPacific Partnership) is absolutely disastrous to America and Americans…
TPP/ObamaTrade Is Misleading …
Obamatrade aka the TransPacific Parthership (TPP) is misleadingly called a “trade agreement.” But only two of its 26 chapters actually cover trade issues such as tariffs and quotas. Obamatrade is really an expansive system of enforceable global government that the Obama administration is negotiating with eleven Pacific Rim nations: Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Canada, Mexico and Peru.
Obamatrade would impose one-size-fits all international rules to which U.S. federal, state and local law would be forced to conform. It would also give preferential treatment to foreign banks and other firms operating here, exempting foreign companies in the US from financial, environmental and land use regulations that US businesses would still be required to obey. Obamatrade would subject the U.S. to the jurisdiction of two systems of foreign tribunals, including World Bank and United Nations tribunals. These foreign tribunals would be empowered to order payment of U.S. tax dollars to foreign firms if U.S. laws undermined the foreign firms’ new special privileges.
Sovereignty…
Obamatrade replicates the sovereignty-busting terms of NAFTA almost word-for-word.
Obamatrade would submit the U.S. to the jurisdiction of international tribunals established under the auspices of the United Nations or World Bank.
It would shift decisions over the payment of U.S. tax dollars away from Congress and outside of the Constitutionally-established Article III federal court system (or even U.S. state system) to the authority of international tribunals.
These UN and World Bank tribunals do not apply U.S. law, but rather international law set in the agreement. This includes a guaranteed minimum standard of treatment for foreign investors operating here set forth by “customary international law” and established in “principle legal systems of the world.” These international tribunals judge whether foreign investors operating within the U.S. are being provided the proper property rights protections.
The standard for property rights protection that is the basis for the award of U.S. tax dollars is not those established by the U.S. Constitution as interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court, but rather international property rights standards set forth in CAFTA, as interpreted by an international tribunal. “… when a claim is submitted…the tribunal shall decide the issues in dispute in accordance with this Agreement and applicable rules of international law.”
Obamatrade would surrender control of 544 million acres of public land – a quarter of the entire U.S. land area – to international authorities.
Side Note: The BLM (Bureau of Land Management) in the past 7 years has been doing a huge land grab from private citizens. Just Google “BLM Land Grab”. And remember who wants to be President of the world working for the United Nations… Obama. Do you see what Obama is doing here?
Obamatrade would subject to the foreign tribunals’ judgment all contracts between the U.S. federal government and investors from Obamatrade nations – including subsidiaries of Chinese firms – that obtain mining, logging or other concessions, run a power plant or obtain a government construction contract on U.S. federal lands. They would be able to take their disputes with the U.S. government to the UN and World Bank tribunals while U.S. companies with identical contracts would go before domestic courts. This not only creates an unacceptable double standard, it cedes control of federal lands to international tribunals.
The Constitution
Obamatrade is unconstitutional in several ways.
First, it would establish a system of foreign tribunals higher in authority than even the U.S. Supreme Court that could overrule federal court rulings.
Obamatrade would shift decisions over the payment of U.S. tax dollars away from Congress and outside of the Constitutionally-established Article III federal court system (or even U.S. state system) to the authority of international tribunals. These UN and World Bank tribunals do not apply U.S. law, but rather international law set in the agreement. That is unconstitutional.
Congress will be asked to give Obama unconstitutional “fast track” powers so he can enact Obamatrade. Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution gives Congress the sole power to regulate commerce with foreign nations. In a legislative move known as fast track, or Trade Promotion Authority, Congress will be asked to surrender its Constitutional power to Obama so he can negotiate Obamatrade, sign it and enter the U.S. into it before Congress votes on it. Obama will then tell Congress how long it has to review it, and tell Congress to pass it in an up-or-down vote without any amendments or revisions.
This is an unconstitutional power grab by Obama. Because Obamatrade places the U.S. under the constraints of an international authority higher than the Supreme Court and the Constitution, it is properly considered a treaty.
As such, it should be submitted for the advice and consent of the U.S. Senate requiring a 2/3 majority for approval.
However, the Obama administration will bring Obamatrade before Congress as normal legislation, not as the treaty it actually is, and it can be approved with a simple 51-vote majority. This violates the Constitution and the advise-and-consent prerogatives of the Senate.
The Economy…
Obamatrade Gives Foreign Companies Unfair Advantage Over American Businesses
Obamatrade would empower foreign companies to use foreign tribunals to enforce special privileges only available to them.
Obamatrade would exempt foreign companies from EPA and other onerous regulations that American firms would still be forced to comply with.
Under Obamatrade, foreign companies could actually go to an international tribunal and sue American taxpayers for cash awards to compensate them for costs associated with government regulations – something American-owned companies would not be able to do.
There are more than 700 foreign corporations and businesses now operating in our country that would be empowered to skirt our courts and drag the U.S. before UN and World Bank tribunals if Obamatrade were enacted.
Obamatrade would put American businesses in direct competition with government-owned businesses from countries such as communist Vietnam and Malaysia. These government-run enterprises have unfair advantages and set the stage for U.S. government takeover of American businesses such as the government “bailout” of GM.
New Balance, the last American manufacturer of athletic shoes, has said TPP will force it to close its plant in Maine.
White House confirms immigration is in Obamatrade …
A White House news conference on April 28 with President Obama and Japanese Prime Minster Shinzo Abe confirms the TransPacific Partnership will impact our immigration laws. PM Abe described the TPP as “a new economic sphere in which people goods and money will flow freely.”
Watch the video here:
“The TPP is such that to the eyes of many countries, it has to become a model. It should be a model for China in that it’s an ambitious attempt to create a new economic sphere in which people goods and money will flow freely within the Asia-Pacific region,” said Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Sen. Jeff Sessions says trade deals, like the TransPacific Partnership aka Obamatrade, should not include provisions for immigration and foreign workers – which Obamatrade does. The Constitution gives Congress the authority to regulate immigration, and these trade agreements are stepping on the Constitution when they take away Congress’ power to limit the number of workers that can be brought into the U.S.A.
Read the resolution Senator Sessions wrote, adopted unanimously by the Senate:

Obama’s Secrecy Of The Actual TPP Wording (Have to Pass It To See What’s In It)…
A pact this far-reaching should be negotiated in the most open and transparent manner possible — but Obama’s negotiators have refused to share their proposals with the American public or even members of Congress.
Senator Ron Wyden, who chairs the Senate Trade Subcommittee charged with overseeing U.S. trade policy, was forced to introduce legislation on Congressional trade oversight before finally being allowed the most limited access to the TPP texts. His staff members are still denied access, and the Senator is denied from making copies of or even taking notes about any of the TPP documents he reads.
While the public has been denied access to the TPP text, the U.S. Trade Representative has granted approximately 600 corporate lobbyists (and a handful of others) special “cleared advisor” status that enables them to review and comment upon specific negotiating drafts. U.S. negotiators have said they will not share text with the public until after negotiations are completed — at which point it is virtually impossible to make changes.
About The Above Information:
The above information was pulled from www.obamatrade.com. This is just a small portion of the information at this site. I encourage you to jump over here and read the rest of the information there.
However, what I’ve shared I hope I’ve made my case that TPP/ObamaTrade is disastrous to America, our way of life, to American businesses and to American citizens.
The TPA Vote Was The First Issue That Affected Which Presidential Candidate I’d Support:
One of the first candidate I was looking at since my aunt really likes him and I value my aunts opinion was Ted Cruz. But once he started pushing and pushing hard for TPA and TPP, I was done with him. He talked a good game, but after the excellent work Senator Jeff Sessions did and everything he revealed about TPP it was very clear that TPP (nicknamed ObamaTrade) was very bad for America and Americans.
Included in the bill was clauses for immigration so Obama would get the immigration he so desperately wants to change the very fabric of America, we lose our sovereignty, our laws don’t apply and we don’t get to make the laws for our trade and much more. Go to www.ObamaTrade.com for more information.
Now, you may not believe me when I tell you Cruz was a huge advocate of it and was really pushing it, but he did a 25 minute video on it where he discusses why he supports it.
Now, I’m aware that in the end he voted against it, but that was all political! It was the day prior to the vote that he turned against it, but at this point he knew there were enough votes to pass TPA so like a true politician and with the out-pour of American’s against it, he changed sides and voted against it.
This is what politicians do.
He knew there were enough votes to pass TPA without his vote so he could play the role of sympathizing with American’s and their anger against TPA/TPP.
Here’s the video …
Here’s what I posted all over the internet including at his website to voice my anger…
According to Cruz (www.youtube.com/watch?v=uInF9eK3nvo) Fast-Tracking is how you do ALL trade agreements and how it’s been done for 80 years. By approving TPA, the required votes needed to approve TPP now drops from 67 to 50+1, and considering TPP is so close already that basically means TPP will pass.
Here’s the CLINCHER to all of this. Cruz said TPP is constantly being changed. They did NOT vote on the FINAL version which means it’s very easy for Obama to just throw in additional things to be included in the TPP including things that have nothing to do with TPP like immigration. The fact that Cruz and Walker both voted for and/or support TPA, and if TPA passes which also requires TAA to pass, they’ve basically given Obama FULL AUTHORITY to add ANYTHING HE WANTS to TPP, and by only needing 50 votes now it would be far easier to pass TPP.
Cruz and Walker cannot play politics and say they didn’t know. Cruz openly admitted that TPP is constantly being modified, and he openly admitted that he also can’t trust Obama. IF that is the case, then why would he support TPA when TPP is in a draft format knowing full well that Obama can add additional things into TPP?
In the video, like a true politician, Cruz talks about protecting sovereignty, protecting the constitution, not allowing immigration and numerous other things. Sounds good, but the facts show that he and Walker voted to give Obama what he needs to do WHAT HE WANTS! And if that happens, they better not play stupid with us Americans.
Do NOT play politics with me or the rest of American’s. They gave Obama the exact power he needs to further destroy America and screw us all, and they did it in the name of supporting BIG Businesses from what I see. They’ve sold us out!
THANKFULLY, there were others that saw right through Obama and his plans and stopped TPA by NOT passing TAA! Shockingly it was the Democrats who are protecting America, not Republicans. The two presidential candidates that supported TPA to give Obama all of that power were Cruz and Walker, both of which have lost my vote because of this.
This further clarifies why I’m so done with “career” politicians and my vote will be for Carly Fiorina.
At this time Trump was not in the race and Carly Fiorina was by far my #1 choice, and is still a top choice of mine.
Now, even though I really laid into Cruz on this, this [TPA] is the only thing Ted has done to piss me off. However, because this is such a big deal and a really big issue that can affect America as a whole, I’m not sure if I have enough confidence in Cruz to not go back to supporting it and pushing it through if he’s elected. I’m just saying.
Ted was so committed to it and then once he was sure there were enough votes for it he did an about-face, it makes me very suspicious. After all, he is a politician and I don’t trust politicians during election season with many years to prove that politicians will say just about anything to get elected.
The fact that Senator Jeff Sessions who’s a front runner on stopping TPP and he endorsed Donald Trump, that really says a lot to me. You have to understand …
America Will NOT Be The Same If TPP Passes!
And remember what I started this article with … after Obama Presidency comes to an end his next position, he hopes, will be with the United Nations as Secretary General. Guess where all of the control and power goes over America IF TPP passes … the United Nations.
Now you know the rest of the story!
Who Supports ObamaTrade/TPP?
By the way Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox News) is a strong advocate for ObamaTrade. Keep that in mind as you watch FoxNews and who they support for the elections.
Also, here’s a list of Senators & Presidential Candidates who support ObamaTrade. Just click on the link and remember this when you go to the polls to vote. It’s shocking to see how many are for it. Here’s what else this article states …
The U.S. CoC has spent tens of millions, via K-Street, purchasing legislative support (buying votes) for these issues, the Trans-Pacific Trade Deal specifically. There are TRILLIONS of dollars at stake.
Buying votes is the #1 scam in politics! This should be outlawed because it bribes our elected people in the Senate and House to vote based upon how much money they get for the vote VERSUS what’s in the best interest of America and We The People. Also remember this when you go to the polls.
What I’ve found the most interesting is it’s the Democrats who are largely against TPP. All three of the Democrat candidates are against it, and it was democrats who stopped TAA from being passed.
Now, after watching how the Democrats make decisions I don’t believe for a second they’re standing against it because of what it would do to America, American businesses or American citizens. They’ll tell this is why so they look good to us, but what I believe is the sole reason they are standing against it is because Democrats LOVE power and this takes way too much power away from them. Democrats want to have the power to control us and don’t want to answer to a higher power like the U.N. or the World Bank in foreign tribunals.
As of February 4, 2016, 11 other countries signed the TPP. OBAMA URGES CONGRESS TO APPROVE TPP ‘THIS YEAR’. My recommendation is to not touch it with a 10 foot pole and let someone like Donald Trump review it and clean it up.
After Obama Signs Trans-Pacific Partnership, Sessions Demands Candidates Reveal Their Position On Trade Deal. I agree! However, I believe we’re all pretty clear of what their stance is on TPP. Rubio YES, Cruz Yes then No so questionable, Trump Hell NO, Fiorina NO, Carson NO, Kasich YES, Bush YES. On the Democrat side Sanders NO and Hillary Yes then No so questionable.
Here are some articles you should read:
- Breitbart – “Carly Fiorina on TPP Trade Deal: ‘A Mess’ Full of ‘Crony Capitalism’” – In the article above it says Carly Fiorina supports TPP. No, she doesn’t.
- BallotPedia – “2016 presidential candidates on the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal” – Very informative page with lots of links to other pages on this topic, and it lists all of the Presidential candidates and shows a timeline of their position on TPP.
- Breitbart – “Paul Ryan Likely to Strong-Arm Obama Trade Deal as Speaker of the House“. This should scare you and show you we have a HUGE problem with our elected people in the senate and house.
- Breitbart – “Marco Rubio Casts Deciding Vote For Obamatrade Without Even Reading It“. Why would he do this? Because of how much money he got paid for his vote, is the only conclusion I can come up with. What do you think?
- Breitbart – “Fox News Fails to Ask Marco Rubio About His Support for Murdoch-Endorsed Obamatrade“. This is something Murdoch, owner of Fox News, didn’t want to get out. You’ll be seeing a lot more of Rubio on Fox News since this is their preferred candidate.
- RedState (I don’t like this news medium) – “How Your U.S. Senator Voted on Fast-Tracking ObamaTrade“. You’ll notice it was mainly Republicans, and you’ll see Cruz & Rubio in the YEA group. The Republicans who voted for this are our “Crony Capitalist” Republicans who need to be voted OUT OF OFFICE. The “Conservative” Republicans voted NO!
- The Dallas Morning News – In Ted Cruz’s defense, here’s an article where he explains why he changed his vote. Personally, I stand by what I think on this matter. “Ted Cruz flips on Obama trade agenda after months of support“
